The 2B-TO-1B Power Adaptor Cable (http://www.red.com/store/power/product/2b-to-1b-lemo-power-adaptor-cable) allows the Red Quickplate, Red Battery Belt Clip, and the Red Battery Plate to work with the Epic.

Does this cable allow the original Red One AC Power Adaptor (I have the original giant one) to work with the Epic?

Does this cable allow the original Red Power Pack charger (Red Bricks) to power the Epic?

And what does 2B and 1B mean? Type of Lemo connector?

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks Tim!

But because it deals with power I have to ask you this - have you confirmed this directly or are you reasoning this?

Yes, if it is the 150W version. 100W version is not recommended.

Not recommended, for same reason as 100W RED ONE Power Supply.

Yes.

I have the bulky Red One power supply (FWP10012). Does not directly state wattage. Is this the 100W version?

Pete

Yeah that's a 100W supply.

Feel free to try it, but we can't recommend it - especially if you plan to add a PRO I/O to your configuration later on.

Is there potential for damage? Would not want to risk that.

Pete

No, but $150 for a new 150W AC Power Supply would guarantee you'd have sufficient Watts when the camera - in any possible configuration - calls on it.

So just to confirm, the Red Power Pack aux output is 100W and not recommended to power the EPIC via cable adapter?

That would be correct - but probably not because of potential damage - it's just that Epic/Red MX draw more power.

Just the camera body would probably work. Start adding accessories and the increased current draw/start up surge may cause the power supply voltage to drop below a proper working voltage resulting in either shutdown or intermittent odd behaviour.
