Just opening and rigging my scarlet X kit, that I ordered on the 4th of November (SO1947, Scarlet #973). Upon opening I realized that there is no power adapter DSMC supplied. I was convinced it has to be with the package, but it also has no mention in the pack form. So, I have to cough up another $150, just to switch on the camera now? Or am I supposed to receive it? If so, can anyone tell me in what box this was packed, so I double-check. I just wanna switch on my camera!!! arch
and oh yeah, here she is :-)

Make sure you checked around in the outer shipping box. The adapter isn't in the gray Scarlet box, it is in a separate bag in the big box.

thanks for confirming this for me guys, guess I have to phone RED UK in the morning. Really eager to fire it up at least. I already ordered the side handle, but its said it will take another 2 weeks, so my batteries are just laying around.

Thanks Gwen.
This is an old red rock 35mm adapter rig. The short 15mm rods in the picture are from a red rock matte box, which carries the longer 15mm rods now. I am configuring a shoulder pad from an old DV shoulder Rig. I avoided the modular assault pack (which i really like) and reshimmed the original red rock baseplate so the 15mm rods are raised enough. All in all, the rig remains really compact, just looking at the battery options right now. Here is a detail of the setup. next step is FOOTAGE, but when I can plug the darn thing in that is...

Also had to root around in the packing box to find my AC, buried in all the brown packaging!

After contacting RED Europe, it was clear the power adapter had to be in the shipment. No questions asked, my rep Sam Measure posted one ASAP with priority shipment. And I am impressed how 16 hours later, I received an overseas package with my name on it. I have been a Sony user for years, but the support RED provided me with till now, is unheard of. Really, its so important that a company looks out for their client base and quality of products and service.

btw, the build quality of this camera far surpasses anything i have seen before.
