Power 3rd party Focus Motor with Red Quickplate Module Aux Ports?

Anyone power their 3rd party focus motor with Red Quickplate Module Aux Ports?

With the cinegears wireless motor I get an error that results in having to shut off the ports. The error reads "Rear Battery overcorrect detected. The power source has been disabled.

Could it be the cable I selected, reverse polarity perhaps? Red is alining with red when plugged in.... http://letusdirect.com/cart/helix-lemo-to-lemo-cable.html

I believe Cinegears uses the same polarity but may pull more voltage or more amps leading to the shutdown. That rear port is not really rated to the same effect that a proper 12V port is. Lots of users have issues with them being overdrawn quickly. I would suggest pulling off a Dtap port.

bummer, why they would even put those ports aux ports on there if they can't drive accessories is a mystery to me?! Looks like I will be selling my module adapter and getting a 3rd party one with lemo port.

You think that the cinegears ff motor would have enough power from their v mount dtap from a one redbrick powering camera also?

Edit: In case anybody else has this problem, it turns out it was a reverse polarity issue on the lemo to lemo cable that letus makes. Sorry to bad mouth your module adapter Red, love you:beer:
