Really digging your set-up Trevor. Only thing that looks a little awkward about it is the LCD placement. Every try mounting it to rods above the lens?

Agree, my first set-ups was like this then sticks came into play.

Being height challenged this didn't work for me :)

I was shooting my family Christmas card photo today and thought I would update my rig photo while everything was setup. Just got in the Schneider Xenars which really makes this kit look pro.

Martin I would love to wake up Christmas morning to that ;)

Martin,
how are you mounting your monitor to the battery plate? Which battery back is that?

Carlos M

Martin, how do you like the Xenar's?

I have a cinema oxide plate. You can mount the monitor to it just like that Carlos.

Carlos, I'm using the Cinema Oxide battery plate which has threaded mounting holes on top.

Daniel, The Xenars are great. I've only owned them for a little while but so far I'm very happy.

That's my very compact rig, including 2 wireless mic receivers, 1 Rode mic, Anton Bauer battery, Atomos Blade Prores Recorder/monitor

Micheal, Just wondering, what the GoPro is used for mounted on the RED? BTS footage? Is it that useful? I'm thinking of either mounting one on my RED or giving it to the athletes (skiers) so they can use it to get some POV footage.

John, that is awesome. For hand held how're you arranging the red menu options so that you can operate whilst still getting a viable recording to the recorder? Is it clean to SDI or with menus?

Working on a proof of concept for a client wanting a POV of an actor walking down the street and flipping through a book. Custom made snorri-cam rig by DU-ALL Camera worn backwards with a battery belt to take weight off the top. Very sold, looks great in motion.
