  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Post Your Scarlet-X Rig

Thanks for the answers Steve.

I have a Shoot35 MB with swing away just weighting up, update options...... its either the Oconnor or the Tangerene.

Thanx

No worries, Mike. The Tangerine looks very cool, but I needed a mattebox and Oconnor was the best bet avail at the time. I really love the Obox and I'm really happy with it. But I'd love to take the tangerine on a test drive.

Here's my rig! Love it :)

What about color match?
no red's monitor for color reference?

I was thinking about to go to the same way , i have a TVlogic and i bought a redmote...

soo... i think because it is very irritate to color match the TV logic with Canons and F3 , and every camera....

Here's my current rig in progress. I'm coming from the hdslr world (GH2 Driftwood), so Scarlet-X #02170 broke my RED cherry. Looking forward to posting new work.

Thanks Jason, second to Mike's question. Have been scouring the internet for some V-Mount/AB power solutions, good to know what others are using and how they perform. How do you rate these? What's the power time like?

It only passes voltage, but there's a one-click button on the side of the battery to show you an LED light indicator of the battery life status. I haven't gone outside yet to shoot, so I can't report on the power time yet. I got a crazy deal on these batteries from AXRTEC directly on eBay. They had (2x) 89w batteries + the charger for a buy it now of ~$800 and I chose the "Make an Offer" option and got the kit for $550. I'm going to shoot something tomorrow and I'll make a quick field report.

V- bricks?

haven't seen anything that beats these _150w_ WITH chargers (yes, EACH battery came with its own charger) - Free shipping - ! $279ea

Used for 3 mo no problems. Excellent support, any Qs answered within the day. Same unit as popular Global Media Pros, but without the hassles. I have yet to use up all three on a day's shoot (8 hrs) - and that is with a PIX D-tapped in.
