  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Post-LART Details

Simple question ya'll, did Jim show up? Surely his presense, or lack thereof, isn't an NDA issue.

I'm pretty stoked to see everything you guys were up to!

Nope...Jim couldn't stop by because of other matters he was attending to, but Ted Schilowitz hung out with us for several hours on Saturday. I think he originally intended to be there for a few hours, but just really enjoyed the fun stuff we were doing, and decided to hang out all day.

Jarred wanted to stop by on Sunday, but I'm sure he was slammed with work.

LART was a completely independent event, but if they could, we naturally welcomed any RED Team members who could stop by.

That was a great summary, Gibby.

I wanted to just say to everyone at LART that it was so great meeting and working with all of you.

Thanks to Gibby, Sharky and everyone who donated their time, equipment, talent, and dedication.

Also a huge thanks to David Parker and the folk's at Dave's Garage for the use of their location, cars, and personnel.

It was great working along side all of you - can't wait to see the finished results...

and Ketch, I'm very much looking forward to some copies of some certain photos. ;)

Actually you can talk about the Element stuff. Finner or Billy (can't remember which) asked if we needed to keep it quiet and the response was "No please tell other people about it."

(Pending confirmation from Finner or Billy Summers of that being an accurate reproduction of the conversation.)

Gibby is swamped and working on processing all the LART info, images etc. Thought I'd throw this one out for the RED addicts amongst us :-)

DO NOT ANALYZE RESOLUTION - this is just a photoshop quicky for your enjoyment. The footage is shot in various frame rates with various lenses and cameras. This shot is credited to Mark Mannschreck.

The footage stands up so well to grading, I love both the highlights and blacks in this grab.

I see it was a great RED party and a lot of fun in [L.{A.](R.T.)}.

We all desperately waiting for more reports, some footage and other concrete test results.

I get back in town this afternoon and will start going through what I have. Lots of things were learned, many questions answered. But I now have many new questions that will require more exploration of the footage and hopefully some feedback from RED.

Yo! Gavin, I'm sorry I didn't say goodbye.

Tonaci, I had tech difficulties with the HDD. It will go out via fedex when I get back.

I'm at LAX waiting for my flight right now...

Oh, and to all you No-Fun Nancy's that didn't want to go with Finner and I to Universal Studios - :bleh:

Yes Matt, Priceless it was and I'm not talking about the photo here.

Sharky, you are the Man, thanks for coming to my resque, this Italian can spell warth of S..., but the photos did made esier to understand, I hope, Muchas Gracias.

And Sharky just so you know, I was only loved by the toooo many ladies at LART only because of my BIG camera, the true lady killer was Gibby, but sorry Gibby I told them all you are Taken and taken by a very SASSY one, so no chance there for them (Gibby, "THE STUD" below).

Casey if you are talking about getting some of the photos of the "HALF NAKED GIRLS" sorry but I delete them all, well not all, I could not find it in my heart to delete some of them (just kidding).

LART was an incredible event in which I was very pleased to have partecipated, I would have loved to make it to Jim's house on Sunday after the last shoot with Manny and the Fire girls, but as I was following Kyle's BMW (it was not the driver) they lost me as they were driving with no consideration of me following with my suv full of gear, long story short after half an hour following a bmw of the same color they stopped and come to my window to tell me why the F.... I was following them, HOOOPS it wasn't Kyle's bmw.

Speaking of Manny and I shooting the fire girls (well Manny) I give him two of my CF cards to record the images and totally did not see that I give him 16GB of LART photos which all went POOOFFF!

Fortunately as Brook said I shot more photos in one day then He did in his entire life, so I have more left, just not as many and as glamorous as the ones lost, "SORRY" ) I have the same excuse, my brain was electricuted several times)

Working on the ones that where saved, will post all with Gibby and Ken soon, for now this are a few compressed teasers.

From left: the impostor Italian Stallion (me with the sensual flat chested and very ugly) Erin Sanders, the true Stallion Steve Gibby and the other bigggg lady's killer, Senor Ken Corben.

Apart from the Birger Mount (yes the noshow was a major bummer) I'd love to hear how the ActionCam performed. It seems like one of the more interesting stabilizers to come around lately.

Hi,

I worked with Brian and his actioncam 10 days ago. Very impressed with the days work.

heheh. I must have missed those... :innocent:

Sorry to hear about the formatted cards, though... but I'm sure you got tons of other great photos.

If I'm not mistaken, the "priceless" pic (you with the girls and car) shown above was one I shot? :)

looking forward to seeing all of the rest of your photos.

Oh, also, sorry you missed the get together afterwards. (Following the wrong BMW). :( You were missed.

Yes Casey,

people say I look great and could notice at all that something is wrong with me, but when S... like this happens, then they say... Ya half his brain it is gone.

And yes that is the one you tocked with my camera.

I did shoot 4 8GB cards so two of them, about 15.2GB are in my laptop now safe and sound ready to get worked on for final posting.

Once done I will get every one there photos with pleasure.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! NO, NO, NO! Say it didn't happen, Ketch.

I was so looking forward to seeing all of those. Oh well, 16GB of photos is still a lot. I only managed to take about 1GB worth myself, I think I might have a good one or two in there. I'll get to them tonight if I can.

Yes Manny,

I'm and yes it does suck, the more stunts like this one I pull and the more I know I need an assistance before I end up doing some serious damage.

Is not your fault, you just asked for extra CF to record images with your RED, I just forgot that I had not downloaded the photos off of it yet.

When I moved to LA in 1992, I made the brilliant decision to drive to Torrance from Hollywood on Western to avoid the freeways. This was a month after the LA riots. I was going to buy something I saw in the recycler. I left around sunset in my white '76 T-top Corvette. This was when I had long blonde girlie hair like Sebastian Bach (I was in a band). I hit South Central about a half hour later....
Ah comon, Torrance ain't so bad... Could have wandered in to Englewatts.
