Once you've done a log and transfer to FCS to ProRes and either before you start editing or after. Is it possible (somehow) to alter the shot settings in Red Cine changing the RAW settings somehow?
Have I messed up or do you have to do this before Log and Transfer somehow?

Also what are the benefits of log and transfer ProRes editing over just editing the proxies in FCS?

I am not 100% sure but I believe if you have not changed the file names with L&T you may be abl to use Crimson to get your files open in REDCINE.

I personally do not use L&T for various reasons the main one being i can transcode multiple clips at 1 time with RedRushes and ive loved that feature.

Redcine is my favorite for a 1light or fixing multiple clips that look bad, have a bad color temp or just bad metadata.

RedAlert is my favorite for handling 1 clips or a single clip at a time.
I never ever changed the file names due to relinking and being able to use Crimson down the line.

Check out the demo video to see if it works for you.
I get nothing from crimson for saying that
It just works and I like it.

PROXIES?
I refused and hate working with Proxies.
They are buggy, require rendering at times and the computer does not like them as much as say ProRes422 or DV quality for offline if thats your workflow.
I say NO to proxies.
That dont mean you cant do it, I ust dont touch them for editing too many potential problems.
Opening proxies in Color has given me issues in the past so i stay away from that also.
good luck
