You'll be surprised to see how many "McGyver" solutions there are even on hi-profile jobs. It might not be pretty, but if it works...

First thing I felt like doing when we got our R1 was buy a vice, a drill press and a bench grinder. If I had a room that could be "dirty", that's exactly what I would do. Great work. Power to the people!

What is that "Red space" drawing/diagram in the first picture? Could you take a close up of that?

at boot time, I checked below.

-EVF intensity
-check Audio enable trax. from Mixer ch1-2 & wireless ch3-4
-correct Timecode
-toggle REDSPACE/REDRAW. see sky gradation in REDRAW

and more pict..

Hi Scott
please instigate this thread, thank you

To me. This thread is what RED is about. It's the resourcefulness and desire to make films even without the means for all the fanciest gear.

I applaud you! It makes me think "who gives a crap about whether the camera looks right" that camera is recording the same frame size and picture quality as any other RED out there.

I love these kinds of setups.

I like your french flag system - actually quite brilliant and I think I'll steal that idea next time we need one on a handheld rig (although might need a longer arm)!

hi.
so much fun ! thank you.
Because I don't know anyone shooting. as for me what I take jokes.
(make sense for my early English?)

the front-box (plate?) was build at 10minutes..

Very cool Yoji. I think the image will still look the same if the front box is either plolyethylene or wood. In the end the image and realization are what matter.

Best, Peter
