Pretty new to shooting on RED but I love it. Polar Bears International sent me up to Svalbard, Norway in July to collect footage for their media library. The shooting conditions were not ideal because it was basically a free berth on a tourist cruise but the guides and staff were incredibly accommodating especially given my lack of ability to speak German. Thanks to Polar Kreuzfahrten for that [http://www.polar-kreuzfahrten.de/].
I put a quick and dirty reel together with a tiny bit of the footage I was able to capture. We were up so far north that the sun pretty much just went around in circles.
I could have used a beefier tripod and rails for the long lens and a more stable platform but I was amazed at how much I could get out of Adobe's warp stabilzer. Some of the clips could use another pass though.
