I am trying to design some type of rig that allows a Scarlet 2/3 with a 6mm miniprime to achieve the shot a a person's point of view, as if the camera had replaced their eyes. This has proved very difficult to do in the past but my be much easier with the compact Scarlet system. Any ideas. Thus far, I have played around with the idea of a mirror mounted at a 45 degree angle on the face with the camera mounted on the head pointing down but with a wide lens, I fear the camera would show up in the shot (many 3d mirror rigs use longer lenses and I hear there are some problems with wide angles). Another idea is the mount the Scarlet upside down on the forehead. The nike short Take It To the Next Level used an SI2K mounted on the top of the head but the view looked a little funky. I'm stumped about how to pull this off.
Going for something like this: http://vimeo.com/6540668 but with a wider field of view.
