  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Why do I get the sense that this "short film" 's story was constructed entirely around how many shallow DOF and rack focus shots they could fit into 3 1/2 minutes...

DR doesn't impress me, and the price is way too high. I don't know why anyone would choose it over the Scarlet. But then, Sony has a knack for convincing people to buy absurdly overpriced products. I mean, why would anyone ever buy/rent a CineAlta at several times the cost of an R1 (or even an Alexa)? Apparently some people just think if it costs more, it must be better.

Also, everyone on this thread needs to CHILL.

Sure it can... minus the 12+ stops DR, aliasing free, moire free, well resolved image. Good luck getting a 4:4:2 10 bit signal out too... or 4:4:4 in April.

I can understand RED owners not thinking much of this camera... I can kind of understand Scarlet "waiters" feel it does not match the specs of their upcoming camera.

But a 550D owner can't start comparing the two (unless 24p/shallow DOF is all you care about). They are streets apart :001_huh:
 
I thought other cameras were supposed to be discussed on other message boards. I know this hasn't been strictly enforced. But IMHO,
