PM Box not working?

For the last 10 days or so, I have been unable to use PMs here. I seem to be able to receive some messages, but when I try to reply, the error message I get reads:

"The following errors occurred with your submission. You have reached your stored private message quota and cannot send any further messages until space has been created."

Last week, I went in and deleted hundreds of old messages, from my Inbox and Sent folders. There must be space there now, but it's still not working. Any ideas on what might be happening?

Tom, your outbox is full. You have to manage/delete PM's there just as you do in your inbox. It's a pain in the ass.

At this point, others can't send you PMs either because it says your inbox is full.

Sorry, yeah, "Sent Items" is the one. But if you have already deleted those, then I don't know what's up. Send a PM to Jason Ramsey to see if he can look into it... He may not see this thread directly.

Lol at this point I have no idea what's going on with my PMs here. I've blown nearly all my sent messages and a good chunk of my inbox. I'm attaching a screencap about the error I am getting.

Well I had a few hundred messages in there, after several rounds of deleting a hundred messages at a time. I realize that this is a real longshot, but is there ANY possibility that when I was made a moderator, somehow my PM box allowance actually DROPPED? Because this PM box issue seems like it was timed pretty closely with when Jarred made me a moderator.

Anyhow, I went in and completely deleted every single message in the Inbox and Sent folder, it seems to be working now.

EDIT: Ahh, Pietro, that is interesting. As a moderator, I am only allowed 500 messages! Maybe, in fact, this is the problem. As a regular member here, I was allowed more messages than as a moderator? That might explain why I suddenly could not use my PMs, even after deleting 200+ messages.

Yeah, only 500 messages for us mods... Hey, really? I didn't know we had less than the general population. I have to delete mine every now and then. Still would have to with 800 as well. I guess this forces us to manages a little better.
