The Raven is opening the RED door to many people which is very exciting. I was hoping that some Dragon owners could post some 4K R3D clips for us to drool over in anticipation of what the Raven can do?

I realize that the files are large so short clips are totally cool...

I'd guess Weapon shots at same compression and with same OLPF (which I am unsure if is out in the wild yet) is what you're looking for....

Yes the same compression would be ideal. OLPF I can't be picky about since as you say it isn't yet available.

Good day...

Is there anywhere a place where i can download various R3D files with different compression rates in order to make myself a own picture of what 5:1 or 18:1 or what ever actually means? Im new to the world of RED and the Raven would be the first cam that i could actually buy without selling my house, my car or my wife :)

Thank you for your feedback!
Have a nice day,
Max

i think it would be good to set up such a service. problem is that there will always be a lot of guys (more or less rightfully) telling the poor guy who makes the files he or she makes available, that their effort is valueless and "wrong" :)

those discussions can be valuable, sticking your neck out can be bad for sleep. personally i think it's a good idea. you gotta start somewhere...

Well it does not need to be academy award material... just a flower, a cat, a wall a river, a sink with running water, something completely boring... it does not need to be art, be creative... and then film it in different FPS and different compression rates...and drop it in dropbox, or uploaded.com or mega, or whatever file hoster...

What u think?

I downloaded the clips Brian graciously uploaded for us, but they won't play in Red Player and in Redcine X it says "OFFLINE." Anyone else have the same problem? What am I doing wrong?

Weird, I can post these somewhere else if we transfer is somehow messing up the files if somebody has an alternative.

I'm a big fan of Copy.com. It's like dropbox but much more free memory. Though, you do have to sign up for it with your email. Not sure you're down to do that...
