as for View Factor..
yes the price point and features are of good value.
but, they have never released a project yet and have stopped communication with their pre-paid customers. The last update on their web site was Oct 29th - one of many many product shipping delay announcements (I think they just gave up)

I can't seem to get these guys to conduct professional customer relations, period. They can not and will not send direct email updates to their pre-paid orders...

Sounds like they have had part delivery problems and bad product management. Who knows if we'll ever see a FF from these guys anytime soon.

in this price range ... anyone keeping their eye on Red Rock Micro?

other than that... I'll continue renting a Bartech for now.

Uhhh, have you not looked at the accessories forum? They just posted pictures here of the motor, wireless receiver, and controller. They've also posted that they've learned their lesson about suppliers and will not have this issue with future products.

I emailed View Factor several times with no response. I had pre-sale questions for 2-3 complete setups.

And why not keep your website updated as well? Not everyone would think to go to a message board for product information ( I didn’t).

Red Rock unit is on the radar as we have been pleased with their matt boxes and follow focus units. They rent out almost every single weekend and we have loads of them. Considering the price point and the renter demographics it could do well us and rent with our jib arms.

I was hoping to purchase soon with them, but I'm going to rework my budget if this is true...
