Hi all
Ok here's the story. We shot on RED. We can use Monkey to get the files into DPX format for auto conform in Lustre. This works great except if you have 7 flames all accessing the XSAN. It slows up quite a bit.
I would prefer to be able to have an option to use the wiretap.
Problem.
1. The naming convention. Does smoke auto configure the tape number?
2. Does the python script have to be run in a python editor to change the tape name to the clip name?
3. If so i cannot for the life of me get it to work
4. In avid does it matter the way the cmx is saved?
5. Is the wiretap not seeing the media once i have loaded the edl because of the naming convention.
6. How would i need to do this with an xml?? would it have same naming problems
if anyone has an idiot proof way for me, i would greatly appreciate this
thanks in advance:cheers2:
