  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Playback with EVF and Sidehandle only

Playback is in Settings. Use the Menu button just above the control wheel on the Side Handle to change the menu level. Then scroll to settings, select Playback and it loads the clip.

You have to use the Nav arrow keys to move the cursor down to the bottom of the screen and then along to the play button. I would like to find a way of doing this with one click too.

anyone know how to get back to the main settings after playing back a clip using just the side-handle and redmote? I can get to playback but cant get out of playback.

I have no 5.0 LCD at this time.
 
You can get back to Record mode from the Settings menu. Use the UP key on the side-handle to put focus back on the top bar if you've been controlling the playback.

I want to get out of playback completely, back to the main settings screen. (FPS-ISO-Shutter-K-Format-Redcode-) I cant find the magic button to navigate out of playback mode:-(

There is a Settings menu on the top of the Playback screen use that menu and select Record to get back to the Record screen. I don't have a camera in front of me so the names might be a bit off.
 
You are correct, "settings, then , RECORD" and back to the main screen, don't no why I did not try that in the first place, I was afraid I would record over a clip that I had not backed up yet. Thanks!!
 
You can also just hit one of the record buttons (on side SSD, body, or side-handle, etc.) to return to Record mode from Playback mode
 
Since we are here, how does anybody know how we access the special menus without an touchLCD... i.e. the function that we get when we keep the regular menu down.... as the dial in fps, the menu lock, etc...??

Press UP on the directional keypad when the menu item is selected.
