After upgrading our cameras to build 20 beta, I reformatted all of our media (CF cards and RedDrives) under the new build as suggested by Red.
The next day my offsider was on a shoot and after turning on the camera, he hit playback to verify that the RedDrive he had attached didn't have anything on it that needed saving.
That action of hitting the playback button froze the camera such that it needed to have the power pulled in order to shut it down and restart it.
No problems after restart once takes were recorded to the camera.
My initial thought is that perhaps there is a loop condition created when playback is pressed and it is looking for the last clip recorded, which doesn't exist once the media has been formatted, so it keeps looking.
HTH Red Team!
Cheers,
Paul
