Abel carries the Kish Director's Viewfinder.

I have the Arri Media finder (which looks amazingly like the finder Sanjin posted but it's all black) made by Arri Media of the UK. Similar price, I think it was $2,500 a few years ago.
I also had a full aperture 4K Red groundglass custom made through Arri's "groundglasses on demand" service. Phil at CSC in New York helped me, and I think they have since made a few different ones. Unfortunately, in a rush to have my ducks in a row, I had it made at the end of last year, BEFORE I had my camera. I made it 4.5K 16x9, with HD and safe action within that.
I wish I had known about the 2:1 format when I designed it; now I'd like to have another one that shows 4K 2:1 with 16x9 crop and safe action within the 2:1, since that's the format I most commonly shoot in. But at $850 per copy, it's kinda expensive... maybe for Christmas...
Cheers,
H.

I usually use the Kish Ultimatte 35 Viewfinder, but I recently found that the 18mm RPP doesn't work with it.

Has anybody found a director's viewfinder that works with all the RPPs?

I made one for the 65mm five perf. format some years ago. I used a stock penta prisim from a Pentax 645 med. format camera and a first surface mirror for the optical path and had our machine shop make a cube housing to hold the prisim, mirror and lens mount togeather. A very simple optical mechanical device that any machinist should be able to make for you.
I liked my lenses to rack thru infinity so I made the optical length slightly shy of the standard flange focale depth.
Oh yeah and don't forget to put a ground glass in there. I used a stock one from a med. format camera and inked my own frame ines with a rapido-graph pen on a heigth gauge on a surface plate.

I bet this guy could make up PL mount viewers.

Or buy these two items and your set to go.

And you can use some of the 6x6 lenses when you get the monster version of the RED camea.

Many of the lenses for the Pentacon six camera were made by Zeiss and some of the Russian optics were decent. Where else are you going to find a 30mm fisheye that will cover 6x6cm for a couple of hundred bucks?

Thanks Chuck!

I'm a little nervous about the Pentacon option just because it's my understanding that the flange focal depth on the 18mm RPP is lightly longer than the standard film lens so I'm not sure that will work.

Ciecio7 looks like he may be able to make something work though - gonna contact him now and see what he can do.
