Has anyone ever heard of a PL to Pentax 67 (external bayonet) converter. I have the Pentax Takumar 600 f/4 and would LOVE to use it with the Epic when I receive it. I used the P67 for years until I got a digital back and some my other P67 lenses are stunning and lightweight compared to my Red Pro Primes.

What mount did the Takumar 1000mm come in? Because I have one of those with an Arri Standard mount adapter and a BNCR adapter. Granted this particular lens is a "Samcine" (rehoused by Samy's in London in the 70's), so it is unique. These adapters look like one of kind parts. I use the Arri Standard with a PL adapter and it works great on Epic! So, its probably possible, but it won't be easy. Good luck. Peace.

I have a Nikon to Pentax 67 Adaptor. I was trying to skip the 'weak' adaptation. The external bayonet on the P67 is extremely stout, as is the PL. The Nikon mount isn't nearly as robust. I was trying to avoid having to support the Epic AND the lens at the same time (600mm f/4 weighs in excess of 13lbs.). Looks like the best thing to do is wait for the Nikon mount and use my existing adaptor. Thanks for all of the responses.
