PL Mount Problems

Hey,

I'm trying to reinstall my PL mount having used the Nikon one for some time.

I have a couple of questions:

• The mount itself is not quite flush with the camera neck. Is this normal? About 1mm of it sticks out. The Nikon mount was completely flush.

• There is some slight movement in the locking ring (apart from the usual clockwise/anticlockwise). I can move it horizontally and vertically. It also moves forwards and backwards, particularly at the bottom.

I have sent a support ticket to Red, but they haven't replied in the last couple of hours. As you can imagine I'm pretty anxious to sort the problem out.

Any ideas are very welcome!

Tech support will get back to you. You did not remove the adjustable pinch ring portion of the mount, did you? Swapping the PL to Nikon and vice versa should have no effect on that or its distance from the camera body. Can you send a pic or QT to brent - at - red - dot - com so I can see what you are seeing?

I am away from the camera but I will take a picture and post it in the morning.

I don't believe that I have removed any part of the mount. Hopefully with the pictures you can shed some light on the situation.
