here are a few shots of NED #758 pimped out. In the lightweight configuration.

Just an FYI, the little black rubber pads on the bottom of the high hat legs can leave a stain pattern in the finish of some tables.

That table is a very old one.

thanks for the tip.

How are you mounting the drive. Can't make it out on pic.

That's a custom plate we developed for a lightweight setup. That has two little screws that locks the drive tight.

It also has several mounting holes for wireless mics, shoulder plates, whatever you want to mount.

If you are going for lightweight, why not use CF cards? The drive adds a couple of pounds.

We do, but we wanted to create something that was flexible. ON longer shoots we wanted the option to mount the drive.

It's in a good spot for tripod configuration.

I'll post more photo's when I have a sec.

Here are the extra pics of the bottom plate I use for handheld word.
Italian design.

Light.
Simple.
Does the job.
Easy on and off.
Locks the drive securely.
Velcro is for a custom shoulder pad.
No muss.
No fuss.

Stays on the RED all the time.
With the SIM ToePiece I can go right from the Tripod to Handheld in SECONDS, no reconfiguring for handheld shots.

Very nice for EFP applications and makes the RED a quick change from Sticks to HH mode.

We did not offer this product because it is only really useful if you have the SIM piece. The ARRI BASE covers the second screw hole.
