I read on the manual on page 155 that Phantom power is user selectable... If that is the case, how do I select, or de-select it? I... for the life of me cannot find it on the menus. Can someone help me please? I am having a custom cord made for us, by one of our tech guys, by the way.

Do you mean to say that Phantom power is not enabled yet, or user selectable is not enabled yet?

The actual phantom power feature is not enabled yet but in a future build it will be

For now you would have to use a battery powered mic and go straight into the scarlet or use an external recorder and send one of its outputs into the scarlet at line level or sync up using a double system approach

The alpha releases have the phantom power on only if you don't mind using the alpha.

And where does one lay hands on this alpha, do you happen to know?

Thanks

Mike

It was asked by Deanan or some official Red, i don't remember, not to use phantom power for now due to heavy bugs. That's why they deplemented it.
Awaiting anxiously the upgrade.

Thanks for the responses guys... I went ahead and bought a Zoom H4n and hooked the boom mic up to it, turned phantom power on, and outputted the sound into "Everett" (My SCARLET). After adjusting the input and output levels on camera, it works beautifully. The Zoom H4n really does a beautiful job of line level pre-amp, and some mixing. Really it's a great inexpensive go between.
