Petroff Mattebox

Hey guys, just ordered my red finally. Also ordered the formatt filters from abel. I have already a petroff 4x4 box from my previous setup that I would like to reuse. I'd have to get the 4x5.65 holders, but do you guys think it would work? I don't really want to spend big bucks on a MB right now, so if this would work, it'd be great! Also, would I need a 15mm or 19mm adapter to put it on the "base production pack"?

BTW, I think the opening is 110mm for the MB, would this limit my lens choice greatly?

if the matte box from petroff is the same as mine, it works with 15 mm. rods. you need the 15 mm. adapter, that have to be screwed to a universal mount on the 19 mm. rods.
another option is to use a 15 mm. arri base plate.
the petroff matte box does its work honestly.

You would need a 19mm to 15mm mini adapter. I don't know what lenses you have but the red lenses are at least 114mm, too big for your Matte box. You will also get vignetting on wide angle lenses. The Redrock Micro matte box would be your cheapest/best option. You wouldn't need an adapter with that, just the 19mm red bracket.

hmmm... Redrock mattebox is looking nice for the money. Sure i'd like the arri, but my budget isn't that high right now. Thanks guys
