Peter Jackson - District 9

District 9 has surfaced recently, promoted on Microsoft's website.
District 9 is a movie produced by Peter Jackson, directed by Neill Blomkamp. It's a viral campaign through Sony Pictures Imageworks. Seems they are using the same viral approach as they did with the Halo shorts.

Anybody know what format they are shooting on? Film? Red? Who is the DOP?

It's not a viral (the youtube link) It's the original short film produced in 2005.

And yes, District 9 is Red.
