I need to get pelican cases for all my random Epic accessories. i already have the pelican case that Red designed for the Epic. However where would you recommend I get affordable (yet quality) pelican cases with custom foam options?

Innerspace cases

damn awesome guys, did my Mac Pro and Apple Display casing...came exactly as I wanted,

Told them what I wanted to put inside etc. they designed it, I approved, asked what kind of case and colour etc. pros and cons and boom! well worth every penny

I find hunting/fishing stores sell pelican cases at cheaper prices. I sell jibs (www.advantajib.com) and the case I recommend is the 1750 pelican. I usually tell customers to hit up places like Cabellas or a Bass Pro Shop, for the case , to save some money. In Canada the case costs around $350 but it's only $240 at the Bass Pro Shop.

I really like all the custom options at inner space. Bass Pro Shops doesn't seem to have the size of custom cases I'm looking for. Would love to hear more options though.

maybe something lighter than Pelican?

maybe something lighter than Pelican?

One thing to keep in mind is the case weight if you want to fly with it. The suit case sized Pelican 1650 weighs in at 40 lbs with foam.
Airlines charge more after about 50 lbs, and some even reject luggage over something like 70 lbs.
I've been looking for someone who makes lighter cases, maybe made out of poly-carbonate (lexan) .

Cases4Less has got a pretty wide selection, and the prices I've gotten from them on Pelican and Storm Cases have been much cheaper than anything I can find in LA or on eBay. Once in a blue moon, you'll see somebody selling a bunch of used Pelicans on eBay very cheaply, but they generally need new foam. I haven't found anything that can withstand the abuse of getting slammed around on location better than Pelican (except maybe Anvil or another super-heavy metal ATA case).

Watch out for loose pieces of foam getting clogged up in stuff like lenses or other delicate gear.

I order my Pelican cases online, usually on Amazon. I posted this in another thread, but I have managed to fit my entire Epic package into one Pelican 1560 case with padded dividers and the lid organizer. It's tall enough that my Epic body can fit standing up without removing the top mounts. I have a photo of my setup at the bottom of this page: http://juliomquintana.com/Red Epic Package.html

Any good suggestions for a rifle case? I bought a Model 597™ AAC-SD and I don't want it to get messed up.
