I was packing today and was uncomfortably eyeing my RED SSD case with some trepidation about fitting it into my carry-on when I had an inspiration...

Perfect fit! and they can be had for $10. Holds about 3x SSDs. You'll want a sleeve though for your SSDs since they would chatter together otherwise. I used an old T-Shirt for now and I'll sew up little baby neoprene sleeves for them on a future occasion.

Use sunglass micro-fiber covers to put each card in. I used to throw them away but now collect any little cloth bag I see for things like this.

Thanks for posting. I was wondering if it would fit inside a Pelican 0945? I haven't received my package yet so don't know the actual physical size of the SSDs.

Great find. I've been using the Pelican 1010 for a long time now....i had one that was an I-Pod case and i tore out the wiring and cut the rubber that held the i-pod to squeeze tight the SSD cards....It's a perfect fit for 3 cards. BETTER (in my opinion) is my old miniature generic brad camera case which is about the same size as the pelican 1010 case but soft and holds 6 cards...

....so if you have some old mini one touch camera case laying around, they work GREAT for carrying SSD cards, are soft and easy to pack in your carryon or just leave on the shoulder-strap and carry on the shoulder. The RED cases are nice for big production work, but not handy for traveling light and quick
