  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

PD Remote Air Pro Wireless Follow Focus

I wouldn't use it on a PRO set, but who knows, have seen this before, must be very new, IKAN is not known for their quality, but more for their prices

Please refrain from assumptions if you can. I'm really looking to hear from people who've actually used one. I've had "pros" tell me they'd never touch the Tilta Gravity and now those same people are ordering them. Chinese companies actually do improve their products. I'm hoping PD pro is development along the same lines. I know Ikan reps some junk but they're not a manufacturer - just an importer and rebrander disguised as one. They also push Movcam and Tilta products which from experience are well made and getting better.

I'd use anything on a pro set if it's well made and works well.

I examined it @ NAB. IMHO not ready for real use. Every time you cut power to the motors, you have to recalibrate the whole system, and that was a fairly slow affair. Also, to designate a different motor for the physical handset instead of the iPhone touchscreen, it was a labourious process of unplugging and re plugging motors.
It has more negatives that I don't recall right now. Interesting concept but has many kinks to be worked out...

Thanks. Sounds like a hassle. I'm hoping they've improved it as the iPhone concept is compelling. Just have yet to year from someone who's recently gotten their hands on it. All the "reviews" I've seen are just marketing plugs.
