  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

When using the Depth of Field Calculator in pCam, do you enter the actual focal length of the lens you're using or do you determine the full frame equivalent and enter that?

Also, the HDX900 is not listed in the pCam database. I assume it's 2/3 CCD 16:9? that I choose in pCam?

You enter the format you're working with (e.g.: Epic 4K HD 16:9) and then the actual focal length of the lens… I rue the day that the DSLR craze invented this idea that 35mm still is full frame for motion; when for years us 35mm motion guys knew that film framing was smaller.
