PC Workflow Subgroup? Also, anyone actually using Premiere with RED footage yet?

[Tom Lowe]

I see Apple and Avid subgroups, but I know a lot of people here are planning to use Premiere Pro and possibly other PC editing NLEs. Any chance of getting a PC or Premiere subgroup?

Also, is anyone who already has a camera actually editing on Premiere yet? I imagine REDCINE can be installed on a PC and can kick out some type of 2K or 1080 files that can be dropped into a Premiere project. Is this correct?

[Antoine Baumann]

Yes that would be very interesting. And I am very curious of native editing of the REDCODE files in Premiere Pro.

Any infos is highly welcome.

and we are politely asking answers to this question for us red owners who wanna use premiere.

[laguun]

its interesting to notice that the two threads demanding an windows/adobe subforum and the cineform thread alone now have more posts than there are together in apple and avid.

Its time that someone from reduser or red comments or takes action.

good luck

Yes, I don't want to falsely accuse, but it really seems Premiere is a bit ignored by the moderators...
Avid, Redcine and Apple had their own board very fast, and after a couple of weeks, still nog Adobe section...
I know everyone is busy, but it can't be that hard to just put up another Adobe section, if it's possible for Apple and Avid, right?
