Panavision Mount

I was wondering who made the panavision mount for Soderbergh's cameras? I know they were pre production cameras, but did Panavision remount them for him? Or did RED build some Panavision mounts?

Surely the PV mount is out of patent etc?

I followed the link, but Panavision is supporting RED shows. That's where all of Soderbergh's gear came from. So the question remains, where did the PV mount come from?

Any good camera workshop (could recommend some here in the UK if anyone's interested) will be able to make a PV mount and retro-fit it to a Red, if you're willing to give them the camera for analysis and testing.

I haven't seen the adjustable backfocus mount, but there's every chance it could be made to work with that, too.

It's just a matter of cost, being a one-off job...

the last Panavision mount we made works with the backfocus adjustment system..

But just to be clear, we do not currently sell Panavision mounts.
