Hello red community!

Anyone know how to pair a redmote to two dragons with gigE cable to do start / stop record? I got this working fine on a much older firmware on MX but cannot for the life of me get this to work now. Am running firmware 5.2.41.

can only get the redmote to fire one dragon at a time even though the cams' rec buttons fire both. Have got green GEN, TC, LAN & CNTRL lights up too using Denecke SB-T 3D mod.

Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Just to clarify, the REDMOTE can only communicate to one camera at a time. That being said, if you connect the two cameras together using a GigE to GigE cable you can have one camera control the other so they start/stop at the same time.

In the Menu > Settings > Setup > Communication dialog, ensure the "Enable Camera to Camera" checkbox is checked on both camera.

Hi Trent. Thanks for the swift reply. I can get both cameras talking to one another (eg I set fstop on one using the touch, the other changes with it to match - same with on camera brain rec button. But i cannot fire one with the redmote to fire the other. I remember having to pair the redmote to both cams in older builds (it would even let you pull focus on both with EF lenses using the rotary wheel set to near & far focus). Has this changed now or do I literally just need to tick the box you say?

Thanks!

You've never been able to talk to more than one camera at the same time with a single REDMOTE. It sounds like you have the camera to camera communication working properly if you can get one to trigger record on the other using the record button on the camera. Tirgger record using the REDMOTE should not behave any differently than trigger record from the brain button. This may be a bug that slipped in. We will look into it.

Fixed! With gige cable attached, boot up slave camera. Then boot master camera with redmote docked to it. Voila!

I'll test the dual pull focus on EF glass on Friday.

Cheers Trent!
