I have a few accessories that have been scratched over the course of working, they are all aluminum with that black paint finish, some glossy some more matte. Is it possible to repair scratches with a certain type of paint?

Some of the surfaces have been anodized, so to get it looking back the same, you'd have to go that route. But that's very impractical. I've had good results with RustOleum Truck Bed Liner Spray paint from Home Depot / Lowes / Walmart. It has a textured surface that mimics the R1 a bit, not exactly but similar. It's not smooth but has a tactile feel to it, like what is on the older redmag reader. I like it for touching up bits. But it will NOT look the same as anodized aluminum, which is smooth. YMMV.
