Let me know how I can help Ketch. You are a great person and carry with you an amazing story which the world needs to realize. That realization will be of great value to all that are graced by it. All the best to you my friend.

Sean Ruggeri

Thank you for your kind words Sean, they travel deep in my hearth, and is words from people like you that make me get up and go, even in those moments that other wise I wouldn't.

I surely look froward to have you as part of this project.

ciao

Ketch,

Just read your synopsis and all I can say is: wow. I think your experiences are tremendous. Though I would have rather you had an easier life, this is an important story to tell. I wish you the very best of luck.

If you need me to do anything in Atlanta, let me know. I do a number of things, and am a fast learner.

...as I always am optimistically seen the glass always half full!

I hope the other half is filled after you finish the film! :}

Yes I do hope the other half gets filled too :)

Seriously, Ketch. You should seriously think about setting up a website to accept donations for this movie. People would not only be supporting you and this amazing life-story you have to tell, but also help support the great causes you have decided to bless if the movie ends up making enough money in the end. Remember the guy who made one million USD selling pixels? Nothing's impossible!

I'm located in Denmark so there might not be much I can do to help you with the actual production phase. I'm not a particularly experienced filmmaker or cinematographer (only been working in this field for 3-4 years) but I have been working with web-design and -development for almost 15 years and if I can help you in any way in achieving your goals then it will be my pleasure to do so. Sign me up!

Just make sure you are clear with the difference between a charitable donation, a gift, etc. and an investment in a movie in return for a percentage of profit, which involves a lot of SEC rules, etc. I'd talk to a lawyer if I were you. Asking people to give you money can be a tricky legal thing in the U.S.

Good luck!

Any private and online donations would be non-refundable "gifts" - obviously. Investment opportunities are - of course (as David suggests) - a whole other matter.

Tony as I was reading your reply, here with Jorge, I truly had tears in my eyes, thank you for the kind words and support in my project, truly appreciated from the hearth.

I'll give some tough to the suggestion about the web site idea.

Thank you David,

at this point I had no plans as to ask for donations, more like looking to get funds as an investments from Private Professionals, but Tony's idea those sound like it could be a good approach as well, will look in to it, and as you suggested I'll try to get some legal advise on how to do it.

Definitely want to set up this project so that when marketing it I can refer to the web site idea, especially when I will be a guess in some of the TV shows, like Oprah, Jay Leno, or Maria deFilippi and Maurizio Costanzo in Italy.

Thanks again.

Tony,

I surely like your idea, didn't put any toughs on it before but now it could at list bring some starting cash and or even support some costs as the film gets made, so I think I like to know more about how we can do this.

Peter as you probably know is doing my web site, but I'd love if you can create an ideal page to be added in to www. ketchframe.com I know it will also be extremely important to have a design and great keywords as to be easily found on the net, as well as have easy ways for people to donate.

Don't know about cost implicated with this type of transactions, but it would be something like one dollar to be the minimum donation or you think should be at list five dollars to cover any transaction costs?

Thanks again for both your kind words, your idea and your offer to help.

there was an article in the New York Times recently about how people were creatively funding movie projects, and they described how one student filmmaker accrued over $50K for her film project, just through finding thousands of $30 donors. Instead of the typical big investor.

Most folks think that $50K is chump change in film world, but I thought it was an interesting anecdote about how it's possible to make something big happen, one dollar at a time.

There are many ways of doing something like this... The easiest (and most inexpensive) way to do it is to set up a Paypal donation account. That way people can donate everything from 1USD to whatever amount they want to contribute with. You could promise everyone that donate $10 or more a place in the credits or something. Highest donations gets shown first!

There's bound to be a lot of great PR in something like this. I'm sure this story will be interesting to someone in the media and as soon as you've been on one channel or TV show telling about this worldwide collaboration and the way you're looking to fund the project someone at larger networks will pick up on the story and if you're lucky enough then you'll get so much publicity that everyone will be getting in line to help out in any way.

You might want to see if you can find someone who knows a lot about PR and how to angle stories and place them in the right media at the right time. Someone who knows the press and that whole business will be able to "plant" stories with the intention of getting the attention from larger media.

As soon as there's a website up and running it would be a good idea to see if you could get bloggers to pick up on the story as that would boost traffic to the site.

I'll think of something and shoot you an e-mail soon.

All great points Tony,

look forward to more, hopefully some one else in the forum knows this things and could give a hand in making this happen, I'm not too much of an internet user my self, REDUSER is truly an exception, so any help would greatly appreciated with this, as far as PR I can make would be that of TV appearances, I know they wouldn't be able to shot my mouth :)

ciao

Consider the first donation - donated. More to be disclosed soon :)
