Was it my (non-HDR) display, or was it a decidedly desaturated and logish looking picture finish?

Dug the movie, regardless. Just curious, as it was really washed out.

Might have been your TV monitor. We have a couple of 65" LG OLED monitors (they are good to do feature movies/commercials color corrections as well) and colors were pretty good IMHO.

Convincing action shots and CGI. Now, the story line and the plot was something else. Somewhere in a "C" grade category.

Here is Panavision's overview and specifications of the T-series:
https://www.panavision.com/products/t-series-anamorphic-lenses .

Did not see specific coverage numbers for the T Series lenses on the PV site. There was a mention of coverage for DXL on their AZL10 T-series zoom. It supports 7K at all settings and 8K from 44mm and up. Keep in mind that the VV sensor actually has less vertical coverage - 21.6mm vs 24mm - than standard FF, making coverage for most anamorphic optics achievable. YMMV.

Cheers - #19

Most of Panavision's T series are in fact redesigned to cover their current flagship camera i.e. Millennium DXL2 camera (RED's Monstro brain).

And they stated on that page the following.

ALZ10 42-425mm T4.5

The AZL10 is the latest addition to our T Series anamorphic series. The rear anamorphic construction follows Panavision tradition and the associated imaging performance. The ALZ10 is optimized for larger sensor coverage and can cover the Millennium DXL 7K anamorphic at all zoom, focus and iris settings. The ALZ10 covers DXL 8K anamorphic to 44mm.
