Hi Y All,

just quick one question and need advice from the senior member here.

After succeed conforming the EDL inside 5.1 and we have the construct now we want to deliver every single shots in the timeline to be DPX format with variant resolution--some are 4K and some are with fixed width 2K--which will be as the VFX shots materials.

-How do we manage those every single shots to be Output in scratch--instead of Construct ?

we would be appreciate for your effort.

cheers and have a nice day

This is a perfect example of where scripting would be ideal to enhance your workflow. I would use Python to generate an XML from the EDL. This XML would be read by Scratch and would create Constructs for each target format, and place the shots respectively.

Alt-click-drag to duplicate the existing construct

make the new construct 2k and the original 4k

drop the specific 2k shots in the appropriate construct

render both constructs in the render queue

When finished, you'll have 4k shots in one directory structure, 2k in the other
