Out of business by an EVF cable

I'v order an EVF cable on 5 o Dezember on RED Europe, and can´t make use of my equipment cause have no EVF cable yet.

Have to Thanks to Alex Lowne, cause my BT RED ONE has arrive a week before Christmas, and he made an amazing work to delevery me R1, but the true is that without the EVF cable I can't do nothing with the R1, Red doesn't have the 5,6" LCD any more, and without the cable, will have to buy another brand LCD soon, cause the 18" cable doesn't arrive...

Almoust a month waiting for a 18" EVF cable, in a week or two I could say that I'v wait more time for the cable than for the BT RED ONE.

Just a note Humberto - any of the DSMC display cables will also work with the EVF. So you could see if any of the LCD cables are in stock?

call your rep and/or post your location and ask for help if you have something coming up, or find a place that will rent you one. pretty simple stuff. good luck.

The cable will come in the next shippment to RED europe, just don´t know when...

are there no rental companies nearby? Also you can pick up a smallHD DP4 for a little more than price of red cable and that would have got you through the wait and given you a backup monitor which you'll need anyway. Read Mark Phelan's thread about two of everything. Your thread title makes it sound like you are out of business by a cable. try to not let that actually happen. Have backups of some of the key components.

I sure hope you ordered TWO cables.....since if you are going to be on a job and perhaps have one break or die on you, then surely you will be out of business because of your cable. That said, i think i have about 5 EVF/LCD cables. I don't want to be out of a job for one small cable and the nearest place to purchase is four-thousand miles away.
