Anyone know someone at Transvideo they should look at this thread!!! for the sake of their sales to a pretty big market?

In my opinion Transvideo seems to have stopped keeping up with developments in the LCD world in the last 10 years. They still use old-style low resolution screens even though much better components are available now.

There are actually a lot of new things going on at Transvideo, including the new family of CinemonitorHD (first deliveries took place in July 2007!). Panavision and Arriflex seem to think these are good enough for the new Genesis and the new D20s. They also work very well with the Phantom high-speed HD cameras where all other monitors including computer monitors are unable to display the image because of the frame rates. Anyone who wants to stop in our office with a Red camera to check-it out is welcome.

Have to agree with the folks at transvideo, they hands down make the best, and in my opinion the only truly daylight viewable lcd monitor around.

Choice for that bright an lcd is them or imp. The Transvideo is superior in weight, and service.

For the record I've never broke a Transvideo, but I sure as hell have broke a ton of the rest.
