  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

OT - Silverado "Name that CPU" contest...

Ideas:

-Scratch Cat
-(RED)Turbine
-Thorn
-Kratos (greek for "power")
-Argentum (latin for"silver")

All (er...most) are pretty cool so far...

Scratchbox?

I have to be careful of using the words scratch, box, and red.

Scratch and Red are trademarks, and box is close to BOXX.

I also thought about Nighthawk and Blackhawk but decided to go with Falcon. There seems to be lots of names in this industry based on our feathered friends.

Eagle mocap, Raptor mocap, Ravensclaw Talon moco head, Hawk lenses.

I really like Black Widow though in honor of Jarred's recent run-in.

Not to mention Russel Crowe, Cameron Crow, Gregory Peck...:sifone:

Btw, I was definitely thinking about Jarred when I said 'Black Widow'.

What are the specs of this new system? What kind of benchmarks are you getting?

Based out of Folsom, I think it should be named in honor of the Man in Black who made the place famous. How about "J.R." or "Cash."

EW,

It isn't benched yet, but should be pretty awesome when done.

Well what CPU are you using? What are the specs? When will you be shipping? How much does it cost? I want answers!

Hey... that's right now! :D

Black Powder. :confused1:

Not to be confused with a certain radical group's name/chant from the 60's... :)

Wonder if the specs have been posted?

I'm actually glad that I didn't win. Because when I win the RED Rocket card people may get a little suspicious/jealous if I had just won this too. Besides, I don't even know what Sonicfire Pro is.
