Well what does everyone think of a SCRATCH OSX version thats non-realtime? thats limited functionality but that gives access to even the RED pre/post options Scratch offers. i think that there must be a reasonable workaround for the driver situation since there would be no realtime playback. the coding should port easily.
you could then feasibly open up the output/viewing options to any high grade video card or blackmagic/AJA style card available for preview. im looking at this as mainly a workhorse situation where i could then take my setup files and transfer to a full windows realtime version in a suite but save myself some time and money doing alot of setup and in/outs myself.
i know there is a huge market hole there and Scratch is certainly the better option to fill it.
