So who is going to be the brave soul to try 10.8.3 with rocket? having had my troubles with 10.8.2 I am way too chicken to install this update until
I know its safe.

We've been running 10.8.3 in-house, production-rigs, since October 2012 (almost all of the developer beta versions). Works great with the Rockets, AMD 7970/7950 cards and more. No fear with this one. What we have not tested is external PCI enclosures over things like Thunderbolt on a MBP. Not a part of our workflow.

I assume a combination of things Will, updated to the latest firmware and worked on 10.8.2 with an external enclosure and from one day to another the thing just died. all good now, was gone for 10 days and red sent me a replacement.

but now im a bit worried to hit the update button because I use my rocket on a MBP through thunderbolt and you never know what happens with a mac update. it certainly wouldn't damage the card but it might mess with the sonnet thunderbolt drivers ?

There are no specific drivers for the thunderbolt enclosures. it's part of the Mac OS.

yes but what if the apple bous messed them up globally on this update ? ;) hmmm I might just go for it.

I am with Mr. Muench, I got clobbered when I updated to 10.8.2, esata cards broke, red rocket in TB enclosure broke. not much fun, I am for looking for a few good Reddies

Not possible. 10.8.3 just came out last week.

Read this: http://www.macrumors.com/2013/03/05/apple-seeds-build-12d76-of-os-x-beta-10-8-3-to-developers/

Note the line, "Apple today seeded build 12D76 of OS X Mountain Lion to developers, marking the twelfth beta iteration of the newest version of Mountain Lion. 10.8.3 was first seeded to developers in November of 2012."

We have been running 10.8.3 since October 2012.

How have you been running it since October if they first seeded in November (late November at that)?

Mike, first you told me (and everyone else here) that my statement is, "Not possible. 10.8.3 just came out last week." I politely proved that wrong and brought you to school for a minute. And here we are -- instead of apologizing for that first little exhibition, you slam right into another one.

Why don't you take a seat outside for a while eh?
