Don't know if anyone was aware of this. I was reading BSC magazine today and read that Hurt locker was shot using Cooke Panchros S2/3. Love that....

Thanks Mitch, also interested to see the other pictures there. Isn't the Penelope a thing of beauty? I'd give my High teeth for a Penelope. Love Aaton Cameras, i know lots of people have sold their Prods', but i will be keeping mine, not giving up on 16mm just yet. With hurt locker, the wrestler, vera drake, some of slumdog, city of god, all award winning movies shot using 16mm, and a slew of new Film stocks coming out from Kodak, it seems there's a real push to make 16mm a viable acquisition format once again, if only the BBC would prick up their ears and take note, to help along the way.

Anyway this thread is about those lovely images shot using the old Cookes, among other lenses. it would be nice to get an idea which shots exactly were using the cookes. I'll bet a lot of the close ups. The 100mm Panchro is a gorgeous bottle.

Sorry, confused...it was “An Education” that was shot using the S2 cookes. There were some primes used on Hurt locker however.

That makes much more sense!

I'm guessing Zeiss Superspeed 16mm lenses were the primes on Hurt Locker.

Penelope is a beauty, isn't she? If you're at NAB come see her in her sexy new digital dress at Abel and Aaton (we're right next to each other).

Mitch are you saying that the Goddess will be there, complete with digital mag?

It could be worth flying over just to see that!....

I'm saying that you should get yourself a plane ticket.
