I bought the viewfator the button "start-stop origo", connected to the AUX "gpi" port of the camera, pressing the button lights up but the camera does not go into recording, I reset all values to default but still nothing. I asked him to Mr. Ketch Rossi kindly told me that it should start without any problems , someone had my problem? I send the camera to be repaired to Pinewood or you kindly other solutions?
Thanks to all. excuse my bad English.

thanks

Luigi

Hey Luigi,

sorry again you are having issues there, but as I suggested before I urge you to find some one with a Red One camera near you to test the Start Stop View
Factor, before you send in the camera and end up spending money that you could other wise have saved, it has happened before were the issue was not
the camera port it self but the actual Start Stop unit, and or the cable it self.

However as I had never used the cable my self, not sure if there is any way of finding this out in a different way then the one suggested,.

Good luck buddy.

hello friend Ketch,
thanks for your advice but there are no cameras near me, there are in Italy but the road is too long. I just wanted to know if there is a way over the button to see if it works the door "GPI" make a bridge between pin 1 2? or other solutions.
Thanks to all.

Look at the Birger videos online (see Birger site) they tell you settings for red to be ready to receive this trigger.

By no means si Red ready for thsi device by default, you must use teh correct settinsg in teh menus

thanks Rob,
setting is ok... gpi in and out.
i send my red to repair ;)

Before you ship your camera out, can you not test continuity on the origo's lemo connector when the button is pushed? You just need a multimeter, which is a cheap item even if you don't own one already. All it needs to do is common the two pins together- the Red ops guide details the pinouts...
