Original EVF and LCD a d Epic

Does anyone know if the original EVF and LCD will work with Epic?

I have been told on the forum that the original EVF will work fine, but that you'll definitely want the new LCD for all of its touch-screen menus.

Last I heard (couple of weeks ago) the EVF does not work with the Epic. It probably will in later builds though

My original EVF in fact does not work with my Epic.

Some are reporting no problems using the original EVF; others have been unable to get it to work.

I have a theory: it may depend on the build on the EPIC *and* the firmware and/or hardware rev. of the EVF; there may be subtle differences between EVFs such the EPIC firmware doesn't quite cope with them all - yet.

Has anyone run this past RED support?

EVF=No
LCD=Yes
I am running the most current firmware for what that's worth. Throughout all of the various firmware changes the original EVF has not worked once but the old LCD works fine.
