How do I place myself compared to other orders? I have a Sales Order number but it doesn't seem to correspond with the numbers others are using.

I've asked someone named Nick Hayes at RED to confirm that my camera might be as long as 18 months away. Let's see what he says.

A.

You need to log in to your RED account online, go to open orders, and your sales order number should be there.

I don't think anyone from RED will give you much of an answer as to when your order will ship.

You aren't 18 months out. They said everyone who ordered in the first couple weeks of November will be delivered by February.

The current shipping order as best as we can tell is:

Ti PL Mount orders who attended RED Studios Event, then Al Canon Mount who attended the RED event and the Ti PL mounts from those who didn't attend the event until all of the event Canon mounts are delivered. Then it'll just be a mix of Ti and Aluminum Canon mounts by mount availability and the time when the order was placed. Ti Canon mounts will be going out as they become available but there is a huge backlog of Ti Canon mounts for epic owners which still haven't caught up and probably won't start going out until January. But there are also very few Ti Canon mounts so in Jan they'll probably catch up pretty quick.

I'm 509542 and I ordered within an hour of website going live and last we heard Jarred thought there was a good chance those who ordered in the first hour will get them by Christmas. They also said they should be out of backorder by February for everything ordered in November. That's all we know so far. And some that we've guessed.

Now I'm even more confused. I ordered my camera on November 10th and no one from RED has ever contacted me.

Also, my SO# is five digits, not six digits like everyone else's.

My number is 53638. Another fellow has 505151. Does this mean that I'm 450,000 orders in front of him? I'm curious why my number is five digits and everyone else has six. Also, all of the order numbers in the google spreadsheet someone is maintaining are four digits!

I think there might be a problem with my order - this can't be right.

EDIT: I placed another order last night and it's still only five digits.

Check your SO number under OPEN ORDERS on Red.com.

It's not the number in your email.

Arnold - it's the last 4 digits that count. Assuming you have them transcribed correctly, you are 3638. Since you ordered on 11/10, I'd say that is consistent with my own; I ordered on 11/7 and my SO is 2959 (almost 700 ahead of you). I also placed another order on 11/17 (not a camera) with the order number 4484. FWIW.

I don't think they started at 0 though. I ordered immediately and am 881. I haven't seen anyone under 800.

Didn't someone earlier (in this thread or another, I lose track), suggest that the first actual Scarlet order number was around 0850? That would mean that you are, indeed, pretty close to the front. And not every order is a Scarlet, of course.

Mine is also 5 digits, it's 50947 and I ordered 77 mins. after the initial announcement that the store was open. I've seen a lot of contradiction if you stick to SO numbers only, so I'm just chilling out, specially because TI mount go out first, and then there's the mythical 300

That would seem consistent with my point above. Dropping the first digit, you have 0947 which makes sense for a number 77 minutes into the ordering process (approx. 100 orders higher than what is thought of as the first Scarlet order). With all the chaos around the tech failures and telephone vs. internet orders, this seems somewhat consistent. And you are right about the wild card of which mount is being ordered.

Yes, the SO Numbers are XXXXXXX. 0050947, 0042589, etc. The SO numbers are sequentially handed out for each and every order on Red.com. We know that 50850 is VERY close to patient 0 in regards to post Scarlet announcement because a smart chap bought a hat shortly before the store went down and he had SO number 50849.

But look at Jeffrey's response....it doesn't make sense, I think SOs don't reflect the final truth:

Mine is also 5 digits said:
This is where I think the SO numbers don't count for much... mine is 0945, and I ordered 20 minutes in.

Hmm...well I haven't heard from my rep yet...

Why do some people have five digit order numbers and others have six? I placed an order two days ago that has vice, while some orders placed weeks ago by others have six.
