We have a very limited number of Optimators(I'm not sure how many- it changes quickly) that we want to offer to Redusers at the rock bottom price of $2095 for the Pro and $3895 for the DeLuxe. They come in a "Reduser only" case(black- unfortunately) and,as always the calibration stickers to check lenses on RedOne.
Well take orders from Redusers at this price until April 1 but if the stock runs out earlier it's done... If you are interested in a backfocus, sensor alignment device this is the only one with all features...
We hope this offer will jump start the process of creating a standard for sensor alignment testing. Right now it's a jungle out there- as we all know...

The DeLuxe is an expanded version with micrometer module. the reticule of the DeLuxe moves in and out and the micrometer tells you precisely how much. This way you can double check your camera setting without touching the backfocus collar or for cameras that use shims to adjust backfocus you'll know how thick the shim needs to be. D21 or Phantom come to mind...

Jacek,
How does one know that the collimator is actually zeroed and in proper alignment from the factory? (I read something mentioned that another manufacturer shipped one that was off)
Do you have a calibrating piece for the Deluxe or is that included in the price?
Best Regards,
Woody

Jacek sets it up to the proper distance at his facility prior to shipping. Ours was dead on, which was confirmed by comparing it to the NULL and by then checking all our lenses at multiple distances.

Let us know how it is going with the number of orders here (?)...

Btw, I would like to be in this group,...(?).

Jacek,
Am I correct, in assuming that the piece I was referring to is a "Scope Kit" for the Deluxe?
If so, can you explain what this is and is this the "reference" tool I heard about?
I am just trying to wrap my head around all the possibilities.
Also, if this is a "Scope Kit" or some reference for the Deluxe...Is this included in the price or is it separate?
If it is not included, how much is it and is there a Reduser deal on that as well?
I would also like to thank you for being so "stand up" about your product and sharing your knowledge. (I was hoping that others would use this oppurtunity as well)
Best Regards,
Woody

Scope kit

Scope kit

Thank you Woody,
The scope kit is a high magnification optical system looking at a super fine ground glass. It terminates in C-mount and I have different adapters for it.
PL, Nikon, Optimator neutral mount, etc. You can use a traditional depth gage to verify the distance of the ground glass to the flange(52mm in PL case for example) and put on the Optimator, turn it on and see if it focuses correctly. The image appears on the ground glass and you look at it at very high magnification. With the DL you turn the micrometer knob on the (Optimator) unit and get it sharp and then look if it's at "0". If it is you leave it alone if not you can easily set your zero.
The neat part about it is that you can also put on lenses and check collimation. This way both the camera (via the Optimator) and the lenses will be set to the same standard and match perfectly
The scope is not part of the Optimator kit- it sells separate for about 1200-1500 depending on adapters. If you want one you can buy but we also were working on getting a few to some key customers that could perfom service on Optimators for a small fee(maybe)-don't quote me on this.

Reduser Special

Reduser Special

Hi Guys,
Just about done with the first wave. I will honor this deal on all orders submitted before April 1st. I don't think I'll be able to offer them at this price again- my costs are going up. The Optimator was, is and always will be Epic and Scarlet compatible.
