  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Do we have any news on a Optical Image Stabilization for the 2/3 versions?

We know that they are developing some for the FF35: 25-100mm f2.8 Stabilized and 70-200mm f2.8 Stabilized.

This could be something that can make me decide between the 2/3 and the S35mm.

I'm pretty sure they'd have made some noise about it if the 2/3" lenses were going to be stabilized. On the other hand, the FF AF lenses with stabilization are all f/2.8 zoom lenses and other than the 300mm I don't think any primes have been announced. The fast Red Pro Primes seem more interesting to me than the stabilized zooms.
 
We have no news on this matter...
If there is optical stabilization they probably know by now, they can't take it out 4-5 months previous to release. So I suppose we can say no stabilization on 2/3.

Too bad... for documentary film making is always handy.
