Hello!
Up for sale I have an Optar Illumina 50mm T1.3 lens in Arri Bayonet mount. It is designed for Super 16mm, and is very similar to the Zeiss 50mm T1.3 for Super 16.
Like the Zeiss 50mm T1.3, it almost fully covers Super 35 as well. The manufacturer lists it as a maximum image diagonal of 27.06mm (http://www.lumatechinc.com/16.html). It will do that with a vignette. So you could use it up to 4.5k FF on Dragon (26.04mm diagonal)
It will also work great for the Blackmagic Ursa, Blackmagic Cinema Camera, the Blackmagic Pocket, the GH4, and other m4/3 cameras.
The lens was has fantastic bokeh. It also has the Zeiss "ninja star" bokeh look when stopped down slightly.
The lens is in great condition cosmetically and the glass just has two very light coating/cleaning scratches on the rear element which will have virtually no impact on the final image. Mechanically, the lens is not built to the same standards as Zeiss (so don't expect that) and the iris gear is a little loose. I would consider it around the same mechanics as an SLR Magic lens, but with witness marks.
I'm asking $650. Feel free to send an offer as well. I also have an Arri Bayonet to PL mount adapter if you need that.
Please PM me with any questions.
Thanks!
