Opinion: Don't deal with mpb.com

:sad:I recently purchased 2 used REDVOLT XL batteries from mpb.com. They were sent to me quickly and I thought I had gotten a good deal, until I found they wouldn't hold a charge. I informed mpb.com of the problem and requested they return my money. We live in the "boonies" about 50 miles east of Houston, TX. The only return option they gave me was Fedex. Because of our remote location they offered to have Fedex pick up the batteries. Fedex has problems finding our house so I took the batteries, in the original box, to a Fedex drop off box about 15 miles from our house. I did everything I could possibly do but that box would not fit in the drop off box. So I came home and informed mpb.com of my problem. After informing them of our remote location several times and that I would dispose of the lithium batteries properly, they evidently didn't believe me and have continued to offer me a return, only if I send the batteries back. I film wildlife with an Epic-W on a tight budget. I don't have time for their BS. Now I'm going to keep the batteries and eventually have them recelled by John Ritter. I believe everyone should avoid mpb.com.:sad:

I think you might be being a bit hard on them.

Think about it this way. If they just sent you a refund or a replacement, the scammers would come out of the woodwork.

Why not mail them back?

Not seeing how where you live and FedEx box size limitations are MPB's responsibility. There is a full service FedEx Office Store in the 24hr Walmart Super Store in Humble Texas. That is 18 miles from your front door. Problem solved.

They probably gave you FedEx as the only option as a lot of couriers and delivery companies nowadays do not ship batteries anymore. Its a bit of a pain here in Australia as well.
I think FedEx and DHL are the only ones these days. could be a reason ?

Did you guys read what I said? I know cinematography is a mans world, not ‘safe’ for females, but I also thought RED users were smart enough to not look at gender, or lack of testosterone. Please read what I said and pretentd a male said it.

No one targeted you by gender. Where did you get this from?

Couldn't you just get a different box at Fedex to ship it with? Mpb seem to be doing their part here, and I understand why they want the batteries back. its business, they need to check where the problem is.
