Red HDR 4K 25fps record rate 60fps. Exporting Open EXR sequence to visual effects company. On NUKE their end, the opened sequence is out of sync- i.e.: NOT 25pfs. The Live action comp footage is 25fps, but the EXR is out of sync despite it being 25fps. The only way to fix this is to run the Open EXR sequence at 30fps. I've also tried it and have exactly the same issue so have other vfx artist. In a nutshell the 25fps footage as Open EXR is actually 30fps as a sequence?

Sequence of images, like EXR, DPX, DNG, TIFF etc inherently have no frame rate. You can play them at any speed you like. The header of some file has a frame rate, but not all. So, all you have to make sure is your export must have a proper number of frames. In other words, if your sequence is 1 sec long and it is a 25fps, then you must have 25 frames. If you have 30, then you have a problem. If it is 25, then it's just a matter of telling your software the proper playback frame rate.
Also, not sure about "Red HDR 4K 25fps record rate 60fps". I don't follow. Is it 25 or 30 fps recording?

Red HDR 4K 25fps record rate 60fps, meaning it slow motion at 60fps on a 25fps project rate. Yes we have changed the interpret footage fps on Nuke and AE of the EXR sequence but Red Cine is firing additional frames and can't see anywhere to change it despite it being 25fps/60fps recorded.

Ali,

Can you send a single R3D snapshot of a clip in question to redcinex at red dot com? I'd like to take a closer look here.
