I see lots of people selling their accessories from their RED ONE as they prepare to move on to the EPIC.

Aside from buying RED CF cards from the store, is there any tell tale signs from buying fake RED CF cards out there?

I've heard that some rebrand no name CF cards with the RED ONE sticker and pass it off at half price.

I also see that others sale Kingston cards or what have you and claim that they work perfectly fine on the RED.

I've searched around here but have not found a solid answer.

Thanks for any insight.

yikes..I can tell that the love affair with CF cards dies quickly after SSD. Yet it has to still be relevant. I have read and read for hours and the only card not approved by RED that seems to have worked was the Lexar 8GB USDM...which they don't make...most threads about CF cards died long ago. Is there any current relevant info?

The Lexar UDMA 300X cards are fine if you can find them - the RED 8Gb ones are the same thing re-badged.
However 16Gb cards must be RED ones, last time I checked.
Something about the firmware on the cards, I was told.
